Content policy

Public creators only

Communities must be about people who publish videos publicly: streamers, YouTubers, podcast hosts. No communities about private people, such as friends or classmates, even if they once appeared in a public video.

Real quotes, linked to their source

• Every quote is something the person actually said, linked to the moment in a public YouTube video.
• No made-up, AI-generated, or edited quotes. Trimming a line is fine; changing what it means isn't.
• Don't frame a quote out of context to make someone look like they meant something they didn't.

No harassment

• No quotes picked to target, mock, or pile on someone.
• No hate speech against people for who they are.
• No private information, such as addresses, phone numbers, or family details they didn't make public.
• Nothing sexual involving minors, ever.

Creators have a say

A creator can claim a fan-made community about them (open it and choose “Is this you?”), then take it over, endorse it, or have it removed. Anyone featured in a clip, or who owns it, can ask for it to come down with the takedown form.

Reporting and enforcement

Report a quote from its community's Feedback tab: its moderators handle it, and anything left for a week goes to the platform admins. Report a whole community through the site feedback form (“Breaks the content policy”), which only the platform admins see. They can remove quotes, suspend or remove communities, and suspend accounts.
