Terms of use

These terms cover your use of Blathered: its games, communities, and everything else on the site. By using it, you agree to them.

Who can use it

You need to be at least 13 to use Blathered. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission.

Your account

  • You sign in with Twitch, Discord, or Google. We never see your password.
  • Your name on the site is that login's handle, shown with its icon.
  • Don't pretend to be someone else, or use the site to harass anyone.
  • We can suspend accounts that break these terms or the content policy.

Play fair

Don't use bots, scripts, or extra accounts to climb leaderboards or get answers early. A community's moderators can hide results that look automated from its leaderboards.

Communities

  • Communities are run by teams of fans or creators, who are responsible for what they post and must follow the content policy.
  • Fan-made communities aren't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the creators they quote. A creator who proves who they are can take one over, endorse it, or have it removed.
  • The platform admins can suspend or remove communities, change who runs them, and settle disputes between teams and creators.

What you send us

When you suggest a quote, send feedback, or apply to start a community, you let us use what you sent to run the site: a suggested quote can become a puzzle, credited to you. The quote itself still belongs to whoever said it and whoever owns the video.

Videos and quotes

Clips play in YouTube's embedded player, under YouTube's terms; Blathered doesn't host videos. Quotes are short excerpts, each linked to its source. If something here features you or content you own and you want it gone, use the takedown form.

Blathered uses YouTube API Services. By using Blathered, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

The service

Blathered is free and provided as is. We can change or stop any part of it, including games, streaks, and leaderboards. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or incidental losses from using the site.

Changes and contact

When these terms change, the date above changes too, and using the site afterwards means you accept the new version. Questions go through the feedback form.
